A group under the aegis of Concerned Edo Progressive yesterday declared support for Barr Kasimu Otono’s aspiration to contest the Edo 2024 governorship election and noted that it is time for a youth to govern the state.
Otono is running under the platform of the APC in the forthcoming Edo 2024 governorship election.
The group called on all relevant stakeholders in the state to look beyond sacred unwritten rotation that might over monetize the polity and focus less on competence and actual delivery on the needs of the people of the state.

In a communique signed by the spokesman of the organisation Mr. Hassan Abiri stated that it was high time the put forward capable, young and vibrant Edo sons who have proven excellence in their chosen careers without unquestionable character to fill the governorship seat of the state.
He said the people of the states had waited long for an effective and dynamic person to govern Edo State adding that integrity, character, capacity, humility and competence are required to rescue the state.
