Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Abdulkadir Bala Mohammed, was chosen by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to head its post governorship primary election reconciliation committee in Edo State.

Sen. Tunde Ogheha; Sen. Mrs Stella Omu; Dame Dr. Esther Uduehi.
Others are Sen. Olalere Oyewunmi; Prof. Sen. Sandy Onor; Alh. Isiaka Sola Gold; Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN (Secretary); and Barr. Jacob Otorkpa (Administrative Secretary).

The committee is expected to ensure the party goes into the September election as a united, following claims by the Deputy Governor Hon Philip Shaibu, who has threatened legal action over the party’s issuance of certificate of return to Asue Ighodalo, who won the primary election it conducted.
Recall that Shaibu had won a parallel primary election.
However, the composition of the committee was disclosed in a statement by the national publicity secretary of PDP Hon Debo Ologunagba.
He said “Following the successful conduct of our Edo State Governorship Primary Election, the National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution and Guidelines of our Party, constitutes the Edo State Post-Primary Election Reconciliation Committee.

“The Committee is charged with the responsibility of reconciling all critical stakeholders and all our party members in Edo State ahead of the September 21, 2024 Governorship Election in the State.“The NWC urges all critical stakeholders and members of our great Party in Edo State to remain steadfast and continue to work hard for the success of our Party and Governorship Candidate, Dr. Asuerinme Ighodalo, in the September 21, 2024 Governorship Election in Edo State,” PDP said.
