The authorities of Etsako West local government area have lifted an earlier restriction placed on the movement of motorcycles – popularly called Okada.
LEADERSHIP recalls that the Council had on April 17, 2025, announced restrictions on motorcycle movement between 8p.m. and 6a.m.
The restriction was aimed at enhancing security and reducing potential security threats within the area, the council had said.
However, in a statement lifting the order on Friday, Secretary of the council, Mr Zikanene Momodu Oyakhamoh said the decision has now been rescinded.
“Residents and visitors are now free to operate motorcycles without restriction”, the statement stated.
