The local government chairman, Hon. Osaro Osa Eribo, gave the warning when he, accompanied by security operatives, media representatives and other officials, visited the scene to assess the situation firsthand.

During the visit, Eribo expressed displeasure over the continuous obstruction of the road and warned both companies to desist from such unlawful practices.

“Repeated cases of road obstruction and traffic violations caused by trucks and buses belonging to the two companies, which have been parked indiscriminately on the service lane, create serious traffic congestion and inconvenience for road users,” he said.

He emphasised that the government would no longer tolerate any form of traffic violation or road blockage by motorists or business operators within the local government.

The chairman directed the management of the two companies to report to the council secretariat immediately for further discussions and resolution.
