Edun Endorses Indigenous Innovation In Electric Vehicle Production

Minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy, Wale Edun, has commended NEV Electric, an indigenous electric vehicle company by Brilliant Model Technology, for its role in advancing Nigeria’s transportation sector.

During a firsthand experience with NEV Electric’s buses on Sunday, the finance minister praised the company’s innovation in sustainable mass transit, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for cleaner and more efficient transportation.

According to a statement posted on the ministry’s X handle, Edun highlighted the initiative’s potential to create jobs, enhance energy security, and improve urban mobility.

Reaffirming the government’s support for local innovation, the minister emphasised the importance of private-sector collaboration in driving Nigeria’s transportation transformation.
