Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), is set to host the 1st International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) workshop in Nigeria’s capital.
The workshop, jointly implemented by INTERPOL’s Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption Centre, IFACC, and JICA, aims to enhance the capabilities of Nigerian law enforcement agencies to combat financial crimes.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, stated that the workshop is also a mark of EFCC cooperation and collaboration with international law enforcement agencies.
The workshop, which will draw participants from international and local law enforcement agencies, will commence today (Monday).
The workshop is expected to attract officers of the Nigeria Police Force, the EFCC, the Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), and other critical agencies.
The executive chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, will speak at the opening session of the workshop.
