LEADERSHIP recalls that Justice Alexander Owoeye had earlier issued a bench warrant against the music producer last week following an ex parte order filed by the EFCC.

The commission, however, asked the court to withdraw the warrant in a request by its lawyer, Bilikisu Buhari.

Mercy Chinwo had accused Eezee Tee of diverting $345,000 in royalties from her digital platforms and events.

EeZee Tee, while reacting to the allegations by Chinwo in an Instagram post, accused the gospel singer of being ungrateful, stating that she breached their contract.

The resolution to withdraw the arrest warrant was reached after an appeal by the manager’s legal representative, who pleaded with the court, stating that their client was unaware of the previous summons and assured his voluntary appearance in court.

The EFCC agreed to withdraw the warrant on the condition that the manager will honour future court appearances.

After the conclusion was reached, the case was then adjourned to February 14, 2025, for arraignment of Eeeze Tee.
