The Group Executive Director, Bolton White Group, Kingsley Obiukwu, has urged Nigerians to play an active role in reforming Nigeria’s justice system.

Obiukwu disclosed this at the 2024 Law Week in Abuja with the theme, “Doing Business in Nigeria: Economic Survival and Justice Delivery”.

The recent gathering of professionals from the law and business sectors in Abuja marked a significant milestone in the ongoing dialogue about the Nigerian justice system.

Obiukwu stressed the pressing need to align economic progress with a fair and efficient justice system.

“A transparent and ethical legal framework plays a pivotal role in fostering business growth. If we unite in our efforts, we will usher in a new era of justice and prosperity for Nigeria,” he enthused.

Obiukwu also expressed optimism about the future of Nigeria’s justice system and believed every Nigerian should heed the call to initiate change and contribute to the momentum of reform.

“We cannot afford to give up. It is up to us to initiate the change, especially when it comes to reforming our justice system. The pace of justice has been excruciatingly slow, and fairness has not always been upheld. Our courts must be trustworthy for businesses to prosper.

“I understand that the road ahead will be challenging, but with a shared vision, a brighter future for Nigeria is undoubtedly on the horizon. We must persist in our efforts to bring about a better tomorrow,” the businessman stated.
