Eid-el-Kabir: Ex-Minister Tasks Muslims On Sacrifice, Obedience

A former Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye has enjoined Muslims to uphold the spirit of sacrifice, obedience and faith as exhibited by the holy Prophet Muhammad while on earth as they mark Eid-El-Kabir Festival.

In his Sallah message to the Muslim Ummah, Adegoroye said a nation whose people have absolute faith in God will certainly make sustainable progress.

The former Minister also appealed to religious leaders not to relent in their teachings of the word of God.

He added that when people listen to the message of upholding great values continuously, they are more likely to embrace it.

While expressing gratitude to God for the privilege of celebrating another Eid-el-Kabir, Adegoroye prayed that the economic and security challenges confronting the nation would soon end.

Adegoroye, however, expressed gladness that Nigeria has stayed united despite different religious and cultural inclinations.

He emphasised that ethnic and religious harmony were key factors for rapid development.
