The Edo State deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has called on Muslim faithful in the state to continue to pray for Governor Monday Okpebholo to sustain his administration’s development agenda and infrastructural drive across Edo State.
In his Eid-el-Kabir message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Friday Aghedo, Idahosa also appealed for continued peace and unity in the state, noting that development can only thrive in a stable environment.
He said the governor remained committed to delivering more dividends of democracy to the people, stressing that ongoing efforts in infrastructure, governance, and human capital development were already contributing to the state’s growth.
“Governor Monday Okpebholo has demonstrated strong commitment to improving the welfare of Edo people through people-oriented policies and developmental initiatives,” he said.
Idahosa urged residents to support the administration, adding that more development projects were in the pipeline for the benefit of the people.
He described Eid-el-Kabir as a season that reflects sacrifice, obedience, love, and devotion to God, urging Muslims to use the period to pray for peace, tolerance, compassion, and unity.
According to him, such values remain essential for the growth and stability of Edo State and Nigeria as a whole.
He further assured that the administration would continue to prioritise good governance, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, security, and economic growth aimed at repositioning the state for progress.
