The former governor of Zamfara State and now minister of state for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has distributed 3,000 rams to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Zamfara State to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.

Speaking with journalists during the distribution of the rams on Wednesday, the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, said 100 rams would be shared among each executive member of the party in the 14 local government areas of the state.

According to him, the remaining 1,600 rams would be given to APC youths, women leaders, Ulamas and other categories of people.

“The Minister has graciously purchased 3,000 rams, out of which 1,400 rams will be given to local government party officials across the 14 local governments in the state, while the remaining 1,600 rams would be distributed to the APC state and local government working committees, elders, youths and religious leaders,” the chairman said.

Danfulani commended the minister for the gesture and expressed optimism that APC would reclaim its alleged stolen mandate in 2027.
