In his message to Muslim faithful, he called for sober reflection and self-evaluation for better human relationship and make amends where necessary.

“At a time like this, I urge all Muslims to pray for peace. I would also like to call on the good people of Bauchi State to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another in spite of their ethnic, religious or political differences. We should use the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud to pray for sustained peace in our state and for peace to be restored to states that currently face security challenges.

“As a responsive and responsible government, we are very much worried about the current economic hardship that has made life to the generality of the people of Nigeria extremely difficult. While government is doing everything possible to mitigate the hardship, I appeal to you all to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Maulud to pray for the intervention of Allah to bring an end to this calamity.

“I also appeal to you to pray to Allah to protect our state from the flood disaster that has ravaged some parts of the country, especially Borno State. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of the affected states, especially victims of the flood disaster,” he said.
