Eight Arrested For Kidnapping, Robbery In Kaduna

Police operatives in Kaduna State have arrested eight suspected kidnappers and robbers. The suspects were arrested in a raid on their hideout in Nuba farm on November 17, 2023.

The arrested suspects are Bello Suleiman (20), Ismail Abubakar (20), Usman Suleiman (20), Umar Suleiman Gero (19), Isah Lawal (20), Abubakar Bello (27), Ibrahim Mu’azu (20), and Umar Suleiman. All of the suspects are from Farin Kasa village in Soba LGA of Kaduna State.

 

According to a statement released by the Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Munsur Hassan, preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects are responsible for the kidnapping of Hon. Kawu Ibrahim Yakasai on August 25, 2023. They are also suspected of kidnapping Adamu Mu’azu of Bagaldi village in recent times.

The statement further disclosed that the gang leader, one alias Hanazuwa of Farin Kasa village, is still at large but is being trailed. The police have assured that all the suspects will be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.

 

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP Musa Yusuf Garba, has commended the operatives for their efforts and urged them to remain vigilant during the upcoming Yuletide season. He also called on the public to be security conscious as criminal elements may be more active during this period.
