Ekiti APC Stakeholders Insist On Grassroots Devt

Some stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti state have stressed the need to sustain good governance to ensure continued development at the grassroots.

They said having tested and trusted persons as local government administrators will also help in deepening democracy at that level and its dividends delivered to the people.

These were part of the opinion expressed by APC leaders and others dignitaries at an event where the Chairman of Ado North Local Council Development LCDA, Ekiti State, Mr Yomi Osho presented account of stewardship after almost two years in office.

Osho who was seeking the reelection into the office in the state forthcoming local government election made the presentation to the people at the council headquarters in Ado Ekiti.

The party chieftains including former Ado Ekiti council  Chairman of the council, Sunday Ibitoye described Osho, as  a focused and committed person whose achievements a justified his quest for a second term ticket.

The party leaders therefore  unanimous endorsed Hon. Osho for a second term, hinging their position on the need for an uninterrupted grassroots governance which according to them is in tune with the yearnings and aspirations of  the people.

His giant strides in term of provision of meaning projects was also commended  by a former state chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Rotimi Olanbiwonnu and Iyaloja Of Mojere market in Ado Ekiti

“How do we change a performing man, I implore our people to choose good work over a non existing zoning. He is a special breed of politician who is genuinely willing to contribute to the development of the land

“His giant strides is exemplified in the acquisition of 30 Plots of Land for the permanent site of the council, Certificate of occupancy for Mojere market and the permanent site, construction of box culvert and drainages in our local council, perimeter fencing of the permanent site, among several other achievement, so he deserved the second term ticket”.

Osho who thanked the people for the confidence repose in him said that his endorsement for a second term by the leaders of APC in the LCDA would spur him to do more for his people and improve on  his current accomplishments.

 

 

Dignitaries at the event include party chieftains, traditional and religious leaders as well as ward leaders in the council.
