The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted its national campaign council for the Ekiti State governorship election which will be led by Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde.

Other governors on the team are Dr Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia); Nyesom Wike (Rivers); Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto); and Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom).

The 81 member campaign council also has top party members including members of the National Working Committee (NWC), and party leaders from the zone.
The Ekiti State election is scheduled to be held on June 18.

A statement by the national publicity secretary of PDP, Hon Debo Ologunagba, said “The date for the inaugural meeting of the Campaign Council and other details will be announced in due course.”
