The President of the Nigeria Association of Auctioneers, Alhaji Aliyu Kiliya, has called on Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the success of his administration.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja yesterday, Kiliya emphasized the need for collective action and prayers to steer the country toward growth and stability.
“Nigeria belongs to all of us, and making it work requires supporting the President through our actions and prayers,” he said.
Kiliya noted that Tinubu assumed office during a period of significant challenges, underscoring that achieving progress depends on giving the administration time and unwavering support.
The elder statesman also stressed the importance of public sensitization about government policies.
He called on federal agencies to engage in orientation programs to educate citizens on the benefits of the administration’s initiatives.
According to him, the policies introduced by the Tinubu administration are for the collective good of Nigerians.
“We elder statesmen will continue to play our part in ensuring the success of the administration. I urge all citizens to support the government through good conduct, tax compliance, and prayers,” Kiliya added.
He expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future, urging both Muslims and Christians to pray for peace, unity, and the nation’s development. He maintained that with sustained support, Nigeria is poised for greater heights.
In a related development, Alhaji Kiliya advised President Tinubu to ensure that ministries and government agencies engage qualified professionals for auctions and related activities.
He criticized instances where unqualified individuals were entrusted with auctions, leading to inefficiencies and potential conflicts.
“I have witnessed cases where agencies assigned mandates to non-professionals for property auctions. When issues arise, these agencies struggle to defend their decisions,” Kiliya lamented.
He urged the government to address these lapses and ensure professionalism in all engagements.
Kiliya concluded by expressing hope that correcting such practices would enhance transparency and accountability in public sector operations.
