The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun State has announced the commencement of outstanding activities under phase 1 of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), in line with the directive issued by the Commission’s national headquarters.

INEC, in a statement released by its Public Affairs Officer in Osun State, Musa Olurode, stated that the ongoing Phase 1 of the CVR exercise will continue until December 10, 2025, after which several critical activities aimed at updating and cleaning the voters’ register will follow.

Outlining the stages, INEC explained that printing of the preliminary register of voters would hold December 13–14, 2025, adding that “this step precedes the mandatory public display exercise”

The statement added that from December 16 to 21, 2025, the preliminary register will be displayed across all 30 local government INEC offices in the state. During this period, registered voters and members of the public are encouraged to verify their details and raise complaints, claims, or objections as necessary.

INEC further disclosed that it would dedicate December 21, 2025, to receiving and processing complaints arising from the display exercise, adding that corrections, adjustments, and necessary updates to the register based on verified claims and objections would be carried out on December 22, 2025.

The Commission further announced that phase 2 of the CVR exercise will resume on January 5, 2026, providing another opportunity for eligible citizens to register or update their voter information.

The INEC urged all eligible voters, especially those who have not yet registered or need to correct their details, to take advantage of the available window.
