Emir Of Gaya Donates ₦3m To Kano Mosque Inferno Victims

The Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulkadir has donated N3 million to victims of the recent Mosque inferno at Larabar Abasawa village, Gezawa local government area of Kano State to alleviate their plights.
He made the donation on Friday during a visit to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Kano, where the injured victims are receiving treatment and appealed to the public to empathise with the victims at their trial times.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and their families during this difficult time.

“Gaya Emirate will provide all the necessary support to ensure a full and speedy recovery for those who were injured,” he said.

The Emir condoled with the families of the deceased and offered words of comfort and support to those recovering from their injuries.

According to him, the visit serves as a gesture of solidarity and compassion for the affected community.
He therefore emphasized the importance of unity and urged residents to continue offering aid and assistance to those in need.

The district head of Gezawa Mai Unguwar Mundubawa, Alhaji Mahmoud Yusuf, commended the Emir for his generosity and unwavering support.

Also, Gezawa local government caretaker committee chairman, Muhammad Tanko, confirmed that 13 people lost their lives in the incident, while 12 others were receiving medical attention.

He then urged residents to be vigilant and security conscious, promising that the local council would begin immediate renovations on the damaged mosque.
