The Emir of Gudi, Alhaji Isa Bunuwo lbn Madubu Khaji has passed away after a prolonged illness.
Announcing the passage of the traditional ruler, a statement by the Secretary of the palace said Alhaji Khaji died on Thursday at Nizameye Hospital in Abuja.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ibrahim Mohammed Jirgi described the late monarch as a peaceful traditional ruler who sacrificed a lot for Gudi Emirate Council and Yobe State.
He decribed the loss of the Emir as a profound loss for Gadaka Emirate, saying “his contributions extended well beyond his domain, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of his people, friends and associates.
“I join members of his Emirate in mourning his painful exit and also, our condolences to his immediate family, Yobe State Government.
“I Pray for Almighty Allah to grant him mercies and forgiveness, overlook him shortcomings, and admit him into Aljannah Firdaus,” Jirgi said.
