The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Abdulmuminin Kabir Usman will turban the director-general of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, as the new Sardaunan Katsina on Saturday, 31st December, 2022.
The event will kick off with a golf tournament on 28th December, 2022, at the Katsina Golf Club in honour of the new Sardaunan Katsina, Ambassador Abubakar before Alhaji Usman performs the ceremony on 31st of December.
Thirty-six professional players within and outside the country are expected to participate in the Golf tournament, and they are to compete in five categories for 20 prizes that include Best Gross, Best Net as well as runners up.
A two-day conference tagged; “Traditional and Modernity: Issues in the history of Katsina” was also arranged by the Permanent Representative of Nigeria at the United Nations, Professor Tijjani Bande on the 29th to 30th December at the Katsina Motel.
