Emirates Airlines has updated its ticketing policy with the introduction of a Comprehensive Travel Cover plan designed to assist passengers facing flight disruptions.
The service, launched in partnership with Travel Guard, provides standard operational protections such as trip cancellation insurance, baggage recovery compensation, and emergency medical repatriation.
The President of Emirates Airlines, Sir Tim Clark, stated that the roll-out addresses consumer requirements for more flexible travel management tools.
“Listening to customer feedback, we realised that travel demand remains strong, but there was a gap in the market with regards to travel insurance cover. Therefore, we acted to address our customers’ needs.”
According to Clark, the policy also includes an optional medical provision covering up to $25,000 in emergency medical costs and up to 30 days of trip extensions for travellers caught in regional operational changes, independent of standard government travel advisories.
