The national speaker of the group, Olusegun Famuyibo said, “We are pleased with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leadership in Lagos as he continues to commission projects, develop new infrastructure and prioritise youth empowerment. These initiatives are deserving of recognition.”

He also praised the governor for appointing a dedicated and hardworking youthful commissioner, Mobolaji Ogunlende, as commissioner for Youths, affirming the group’s vote of confidence in Sanwo-Olu’s leadership.

Famuyibo also acknowledged the efforts of the minister of Youths and Social Development in improving the ministry and called for collaboration between the ministry and the group on youth-focused programmes.

Additionally, the group urged President Bola Tinubu to address the rising cost of consumable goods in the country and reaffirmed their continued support for government initiatives aimed at benefiting youths.

“As youth leaders, we remain committed to promoting peace and unity across Nigeria regardless of tribe, religion or ethnicity,” he added.

The senior special assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Special Duties, Oluwatobi Oladepo, reassured the group of the state government’s ongoing commitment to youth development.

He emphasised the government’s efforts to involve youths in governance through political appointments, skill development and creating opportunities for them to positively impact their communities.

The group’s patron, Adeyinka Oyediran, urged the Nigerian government to invest more in its youth, recognising them as the driving force of the nation’s economy.

He encouraged the younger generation to rise above challenges and excel in their chosen fields for the betterment of Nigeria.

By investing in youth, Adeyinka believes Nigeria’s young people can compete globally and contribute significantly to national growth.

The event also saw the introduction of newly appointed directors and ambassadors selected from various local governments across the state.
