PAWP’s head of mission, Dr Eno Udensi, made the disclosure in their assessment of the just concluded Liberia presidential polls.

Udensi commended the chairperson of the National Electoral Commission of Liberia, Madam Davidetta Browne Lansanah for conducting the most transparent and credible elections in the history of Liberia, saying she is the heroine of African democracy.

She charged other African electoral bodies to emulate the transparency procedures in the tallying processes and data management of the result portals of the National Electoral Commission of Liberia.

PAWP commended President George Weah for his large heart to concede defeat “We commend the sportsmanship approach of President George Weah in accepting defeat even when the electoral commission was still yet to announce the final result. He is an ambassador of peace that deserves an applause in the continent and globally”.

Dr Udensi who is the head of Mission for the Pan African Women Projects group headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa said the 10th October and runoff of November 14th Liberia elections was the reflection of the people’s wishes.

The group was part of the foreign observers of the just concluded Imo state gubernatorial election which they said was marred with irregularities.
