Sokoto State governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has tasked the new All Progressives Congress (APC) local government executives in the state to ensure the party’s success in next year’s general elections in the state.
He stated this after the emergence of new APC local council executives in Sokoto at last Saturday’s party congresses.
Aliyu gave the change in Boginga local government while rounding off his monitoring of the Local government Congresses in three local government areas of the state, a statement by the governor’s director general of media, Abubakar Bawa, said.
Aliyu assured the new party executives of his government support to enable them to succeed in the running affairs of the party in their respective areas.
He commended the APC National Secretariat for sending competent officials to conduct the Congresses in the twenty three local government areas of the state.
Those who emerged as the new Chairmen included; Sokoto South, Hayatu Mohammed, Wamakko, Umaru Nabara and Bodinga, Ahmed Tsoho among others.
The governor was accompanied during the monitoring by the State chairman of APC, Isah Saddiq Achida, SSG, Mohammed Bello Sifawa, Rep Member, Ahmed Abdullahi Kalanvaina, Commissioners and other top government functionaries.
