The executive chairman of the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service, Emmanuel Nnamani, has described the state as the friendliest taxation environment.
Nnamani stated this yesterday while briefing journalists on ESIRS’s activities, especially the tax regime introduced by the current administration.
Nnamani insisted that the tax regime introduced by the current administration is convenient for business owners.
He used the opportunity to declare that no report recently rated Enugu State badly in the ease of business.
Nnamani stressed that Enugu State has the friendliest tax environment, especially in the informal sector.
He described the E-Ticket Taxation as friendly, adding that it has succeeded in consolidating other taxes and that once one buys it, the person will not be required to pay again.
Nnamani further disclosed that they were using Demand Notice to consolidate other taxes in the formal sector.
He also disclosed that they designed their taxes to be convenient for business owners, saying tax will not be collected if businesses collapse.
