They called on the state government to come to their rescue, adding that some people who tried to swim in the water came out with illness, adding that they were spending so much money to buy drinking water.

Speaking on behalf of Network of Water Initiative, Ambassador Mrs Amaka Nweke explained that they decided to intervene because of the sufferings of the masses occasioned by the pollution.

She vowed to do everything within her reach to get to the root of the pollution, saying it was unfortunate that people were passing through such pains.

Reacting to the sealing of the company, the Production Manager, Okeke Favour said it was unfortunate that the officials took the action because of the allegation from the community without listening to their explanations.

He said though waste from the company polluted the water in 2021, they have taken all measure to avoid reoccurrence, saying they have been discharging their waste in a place assigned to them by the government.
