Stakeholders from different sectors in Enugu State have endorsed the ban by  governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, of IPOB’s Monday sit-at-home order.

The endorsement came after meetings held by the state government with individuals, groups, organisations, associations and heads of security and intelligence agencies on the subject in Enugu yesterday.

In the communique issued after the meeting which had the governor and  deputy governor, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai in attendance, it was resolved that the decision of the government to cancel the order was proper considering its impact on productivity and investment flow.

The communique which was signed by leaders of the  different organisations including Stephen Aniagu, president  of Enugu State Amalgamated Traders Association and Ben Asogwa, president of Trade Union Congress, Enugu State, the stakeholders  commended  the governor  on steps taken so far to ensure peace which included  his recent visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the release of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; opening door for dialogue with those with genuine grievances.
