Arteta worked as Guardiola’s assistant for three seasons at Manchester City before he took the job with the Gunners.

This year, both Spaniards went head-to-head in the Premier League title race.

Although Arsenal led the way for over 10 months, they eventually faltered and allowed City to retain their crown.

Guardiola’s men finished the campaign with three titles, including the Champions League and FA Cup.

“Pep is a genius.”
