The Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has reiterated the need for the nation to pay more attention to the education sector.

Alhaji Abubakar made the call when the management of the Police Boys Secondary School in Bida led by its commandant, SP Peter Daniel paid him a courtesy visit in his Wadata Palace yesterday in Bida, Niger State.

He said that the establishment of the school in the ancient town of Bida had contributed to the development of the land, the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Etsu Nupe said contributing to the school was indispensable, adding that education is the best legacy that can be bequeathed on the children as future leaders and therefore pledged to sustain his support in ensuring the success of the school.

“I urge you to send your children to school as it is a legacy to liberate our children in the future,” he said.
