Europe-based consortium, Advance Global Solutions, made up of over 20 companies has indicated interest to invest in multiple sectors in Abia State.
The consortium wants to invest in sustainable agriculture (green solution), blue solution, water treatment, renewable energy and recycling of plastics among other in the state.
President of the consortium, Attilio Bianci stated this when he visited the governor, Alex Otti in the state and solicited the partnership of his administration for the prospects.
“We are very strong in the fields of sustainable agriculture, renewable energy. It reminds me of how we can approach some funds to finance some project here,” he explained.
The president, therefore, used the forum to invite the governor to an economic forum the consortium will organize in Lagos in September this year.
Responding, Otti said the state is open to partnership with prospective and genuine investors interested in the state and thanked the president for the visit and the intention.
“This administration believes in partnership. No society can develop if it is introverted. We have to open up to new skills, new technology, and new capital,” the governor maintained.
Otti, who noted that the consortium’s areas of interest will add value to the economy of the state, assured that the administration will look at the proposal with a view to making it work.
