Elder statesman and former Nigerian Ambassador to Japan, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu (Walin Katagum) has commended Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, for what he described as visionary leadership and outstanding performance over the past six years.
Speaking during a private audience with the Governor over the weekend, the seasoned diplomat expressed deep satisfaction with Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s handling of state affairs and his leadership as Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, describing him as a model of purposeful and progressive governance.
“You have put Gombe on a sound pedestal. I commend your vision and the visible infrastructure projects transforming the landscape of the state. Every time we visit Gombe, we are greeted with new developments. This is the hallmark of leadership with foresight,” Ambassador Aliyu stated.
He lauded the Governor’s commitment to inclusive development and the significant progress made across sectors such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, agriculture and civil service reform.
“I sincerely hope other leaders across the country will emulate your pragmatic approach and people-centred governance,” he added.
The Walin Katagum prayed for continuity in leadership, expressing hope that Gombe will be blessed with a worthy successor who will consolidate and expand on the strong foundation laid by Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
In his response, Governor Inuwa Yahaya, thanked the elder statesman for his kind words and encouragement, noting that the accolades serve as both motivation and a reminder of the responsibility to deliver on the mandate given to him by the people of Gombe State.
