Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 2 leaders and beneficiaries have passed a vote of confidence in the PAP administrator, Dr Dennis Otuaro.
In a statement yesterday by the national chairman, Ibena Rufus Salvation, after a stakeholders meeting in Yenagoa, he said that the Phase 2 leaders and beneficiaries are satisfied with Otuaro’s leadership style, humility and competence in handling the affairs of the Amnesty Programme in the Niger Delta region.
Ibena said that Otuaro who is a product of the struggle already has requisite knowledge, ideas and experience about the programme, adding that his plans and policies are clearly known and understood by all leaders and beneficiaries.
He said, “On behalf of the entire 6166 members and beneficiaries of Phase 2, we have seen, confirmed and are satisfied with his leadership style, humility, competency and determination as the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
“He is a product of the struggle, he already has ideas, knowledge and experience about the program. His plans and programmes are clearly known and understood by all leaders and beneficiaries.
“We are optimistic that he will surely restructure and reorganize the programme to an enviable level. As late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua gave Niger Delta ex-agitators an unconditional pardon, we the leaders and beneficiaries are owing the PAP administrator as a debt, our continuous and unconditional support for him to succeed during his tenure in office.”
