Ex-BoI MD, Abubakar Abdulkadir, Dies At 84

A former managing director of Nigerian Industrial Development Bank, now Bank of Industry (BoI), Abubakar Abdulkadir, has died. He was aged 84.

Abdulkadir, who retired as a Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Finance, died after a brief illness in an Abuja hospital on Monday evening.

His son, Ibrahim Abdulkadir, confirmed the death to LEADERSHIP on Tuesday, adding that the funeral (Janaza) prayer will be held this Tuesday at 1.30pm in the National Mosque, Abuja.

Abdulkadir, who had a long career as a civil servant, was at a point the Economic Adviser to the former Head of State, late General Sani Abacha.
