Malam Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, a former chief of staff to former Jigawa governor Alhaji Sule Lamido, has criticised the book written by the former governor titled; “Being True To Myself”,  describing it as full of self-glorification, misrepresentation and disrespect for the contributions of others.

Malam Aminu made these remarks while commenting on the book which was launched two months ago. The book contains Sule Lamido’s personal biography as well as an account of his political career and public service.

The former chief of staff stated that from the beginning to the last page, Sule Lamido was busy praising himself, bragging and portraying himself as a progressive and champion of democracy when in reality.

“Sule Lamido faulted virtually everyone mentioned in the book, accusing them of disappointing him, inconsistency, and other forms of wrongdoing”  he said.

“I marvel at how he criticised respected figures like General Abdussalami Abubakar, the late Abubakar Rimi, General Babangida and many others. Yet, he exonerated himself from any mistakes, presenting himself as a saint.”
