The former governor in the statement signed by his media side, Dr Femi Akorede, said the passing of Elerin is a significant loss felt by all Kwarans.

Ahmed described the late Elerin as a remarkable monarch whose contributions to the development, peace, and advancement of Erin-Ile and its people are indelible.

“The late Elerin played a pivotal role in transforming Erin-Ile into a hub of unity and progress, leaving behind a legacy that will shape the town for generations,” he added.

In his condolence message signed by his chief press secretary, Sheu Yusuf, the speaker Danladi-Salihu described the death of Elerin as a colossal loss.

He noted that the first-class monarch was an accomplished personality who ruled his community for 41 years with an enviable record of achievements, praying to Allah to accept his return and bless him with Aljanat Fridaus.

“Oba Ibrahim Abdulganiyu Ajibola Olusookun II was a rare monarch with exceptional qualities of leadership and community development whose death has dealt us a great blow. The late monarch while reigning for 41 years strived hard to build and sustain peace, progress, and bring development to Erin-Ile and beyond”

“On behalf of the Kwara State House of Assembly, our condolences go to the immediate family of Olusookun II, the Erin-Ile Traditional Council, and the community as well as the good people of the state as a whole. May Allah forgive Oba Olusookun II and admit him into Aljanat Fridaus,” the speaker added.
