Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Konga, one of Nigeria’s foremost e-commerce platforms, has tragically ended his life on the night of June 25.

Imudia, who was serving as the CEO of D.light, a pioneering company in the distribution and financing of residential solar energy solutions and transformational household products, committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of his apartment in upscale Lekki area of Lagos.

Before his fatal leap, Imudia allegedly made a call to his brother in the United States, providing instructions on the distribution of his wealth in case of his demise.

He also spoke to his young daughter from a previous relationship, assuring her that he would always be there for her and that she could look to the sky to feel his presence.

The news of his suicide has left his friends, family, and associates in profound shock. The reasons behind his decision to end his life remained unclear.

Hailed from the Ika South local government area of Delta State, Imudia’s first marriage, to the mother of his daughter, ended due to their differences. He later remarried a Caucasian woman, and many believed he had found happiness.

Before his tenure at Konga, Imudia held notable positions at TCL/Alcatel as a regional director and at Microsoft Device and Services as the GM/MD for West and Central Africa.
