Former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the administration of President Bola Tinubu as he works hard towards addressing the nation’s challenges.

He made the call on Thursday when he led prominent sons and daughters of Umaisha on sallah homage to their first-class traditional ruler (Ohimegye Opanda) Alhaji Usman Abdullahi, in his palace in Umaisha, Toto LGA of Nasarawa State.

Abdullahi said President Tinubu had the capacity to tackle the nation’s challenges.

”Let all Nigerians be patient with Ahmed Bola Tinubu and give the President all the necessary support, understanding and prayers to enable him to deliver his mandate,” he said.

The former speaker said the numerous challenges of the country would gradually be overcome by the president.

“Rome was not built in a day; Nigeria will be great by His grace.

“Gradually President Tinubu will fix the country for the better, let’s keep hope alive, support Mr President to succeed,” he added.

The former speaker called on Nigerians to continue to pray and support President Tinubu and Gov Abdullahi Sule to succeed.

” They have great zeal and passion for the people and for peace, unity and development.

“Engr. A A Sule is doing well and he is providing the much needed dividends of democracy to the people of the state,” he said

The former speaker further made a case for government to assist the families of soldiers who died fighting for peace in Toto Local Government Area.(NAN)

He acknowledged the “pragmatic efforts of Gov. Abdullahi Sule and the Nigerian Army” in ensuring that peace returned to the area while advising against politicising security issues.

Abdullahi revealed that government had concluded arrangements to establish a permanent military base in Katapha, in an effort to end the matter.

On his part, the “Ohimegye OPanda”, Umaisha, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi,  admonished people of Toto to avoid politicising the security situation of the area that resulted in loss of lives and property.

The first class traditional ruler appealed to the people of the area to  forge a common front, irrespective of their differences and support government to return a permanent peace in the area, to enhance development.

The Chairman, Toto LGA, Mr Abdullahi Tashas and the Overseer of Umashia Development Area, Mr Iliyasu Miriam, appealed to privileged individuals within the area to provide succour to the internally displaced persons.(NAN)
