Tinuade, one of the wives of the Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja is dead.

The wife of former Oyo State governor died Monday morning after a brief illness at the age of 71.

The demise of the late wife of Oba Ladoja was announced through a Facebook post of the Celestial Church of Christ, Ikeja Parish 1 Cathedral, Lagos, where she was a member.

Adeola Oloko, the media aide to former Governor Ladoja also confirmed her demise on Monday.

Mrs Ladoja was an influential member of the Pastor-in-Council of the Celestial Church of Christ, the highest decision-making body of the church.

The parish’s head of the Media Unit, Olukoya Benjamin also wrote, “Two days ago, she had some feelings and was taken to hospital. They said she still ate yesterday (Sunday) before she gave up the ghost earlier this morning. She was a strong member of the Women-in-Council. She was appreciated with an award recently at their 40th anniversary.”

Similarly, the Chairperson of the Celestial Church Christ Women Council, Victoria Omodudu, in a tribute wrote, “Aunty mi, Egbon mi, eyi ga ju agbara mi lo. I was at your place on Saturday, 5th October 2024. You were hale and hearty. Jo o, Olorun.”
