Former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu, has called for peaceful and hitch-free presidential and National Assembly elections, saying the country cannot afford to get it wrong this time around.

Mu’azu while addressing a group in Bauchi yesterday where he urged Nigerians to ensure that they vote for the best among the presidential candidates, emphasising that what the country needs now is a unifier,  someone who will ensure that Nigeria remains the uppermost on his agenda.

The former Bauchi governor expressed optimism that Nigeria has the people to take it out of the present situation it found itself, advised that the general elections is an avenue to correct the mistakes of the past, and describing ballot paper and the ballot box as the best way to elect a leader.

He told the people to simply go to their respective polling booths and cast their ballots, knowing fully that whoever they elect will live with them for the next four years, hence the need for them to vote wisely so that there will be no regret.

The former governor called on eligible voters to perform their civic responsibility by casting their votes for whoever they think is the best among the candidates having in mind that Nigeria is greater than any individual and therefore the right people should be elected.
