Aji’s resignation was contained in a letter dated 1st April, 2025 which was addressed to the Ngurbuwa Ward Chairman of the party in Gujba local government area of the state.

He appreciated leaders of the party for the opportunity to be a member of the party and also offering him the platform to contest in the 2023 general election for Yobe East senatorial election.

“However, it has been a great privilege to be a major contributor to the deepening of democracy in a manner that considerately leveraged grassroots politics, encouraged collaboration, and fostered myriad partnerships under the auspices of the PDP,” Aji said.
