Niger State commissioner for internal security and humanitarian affairs, Emmanuel Umar has called on communities faced with security challenges to fish out bad eggs among them for better security engagements.
The commissioner stated this when the Kurebe community of Shiroro local government area of the state which was often attacked by bandits visited him to seek security intervention in their community.
While assuring them that government will provide Kurebe community with more security personnel, he urged them to work out modalities on how to check security challenges by fishing out the bad eggs among them.
He said it would assist the security agents in curtailing the situation, even as the government is working tirelessly to curtail the activities of bandits in the state.
The commissioner said the state government is concerned about the security challenges facing the state and will not rest on its oars to bring the situation to an end.
He explained that the government was working on strengthening both conventional security operatives as well as unconventional ones such as the vigilante in securing communities against bandits.
