The Brethren in Nigeria, known as Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa A Nigeria (EYN), has confirmed the release of two abducted clergymen, Resident Pastor Rev. James Kwayang and his Secretary Rev Ishaku Chiwar.
The church’s president, Dr. Rev Daniel Mbaya, confirmed it through its media and communication office.
The pastors were freed one week after they were abducted by unknown kidnappers in the Malabu area of the local government area of the state.
It is not yet known whether Ramson was paid or not as at the time of the report.
Mr Mbursa Jinatu, media and communication officer, was quoted “I am directed by Mr President Rev. Dr Daniel Y C Mbaya to inform you that the Kidnappers have released our brothers and colleagues Rev. James Kwayang and Rev. Ishaku D. Chiwar.
“The president also asked me to express appreciation for your prayers and support on behalf of the church.
“As we celebrate the safe return of these two dedicated servants of God, we are reminded of the power of collective prayer and support”.
“Let’s continue to lift our nation in prayer, seeking God’s guidance, protection, and blessings”.
Police are yet to comment on their release as all efforts to get to the state command proved abortive.
