Isaac Fayose, businessman and younger brother to former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign, following the recent abduction of 25 schoolchildren in Kebbi State and worsening insecurityin other parts of the country.

In a video posted on his verified Facebook page, Fayose expressed strong concern over the worsening security situation in the country, accusing the Tinubu administration of failing to protect Nigerians.

He said the recent kidnapping of schoolchildren underscored what he described as a collapse of governance.

“This message is for my president, President Tinubu. I think it is time for you to resign now. How do you feel comfortable being president over a failed nation, over kidnapping, over genocide? We are losing our gallant soldiers, how do you feel? How do you feel being president over a failing democracy, over a failing judiciary?

“If you genuinely love Nigeria, it is time for you to resign now, resign honourably. You are not capable enough to rule our nation at this juncture. Things are getting bad, our children are getting kidnapped, people are dying every day. No hospitals, no good roads, poverty everywhere, hardship everywhere. President Tinubu, I beg you please, it is time for you to go.”

Fayose added that the country needed younger leaders who can “fix the nation,” insisting that the president has “done his bit” and should allow others to take charge.

“It is time for you to relax, you have done your bit. Allow young people to come in and fix this nation. This nation cannot sink under your watch. How can they kidnap children, girls, and nobody is even talking about it, nobody is making a move? You have concerns like Wike destroying democracy under your watch. Our democracy has gone gaga under your watch,” he lamented.

“Take the bold step and step aside. Let us have young people fix our nation. Resign now. We cannot continue like this. It is time for you to go. President Tinubu, resign now,” Fayose concluded.
