All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda and other party leaders yesterday opened a National Situation Room to monitor yesterday’s FCT Area Council election.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the situation room at the party’s national secretariat was receiving real-time reports from party monitors deployed across polling units in the FCT.
This, according to the party’s leadership, is to ensure effective observation and prompt response to developments during the elections.
The election was conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in 2,822 polling units across 62 wards in the six area councils of the FCT.
The area councils include Abaji, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali
