The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is set to witness a major economic boost as the 2025 edition of the Women in Business (WIB) Trade Fair will be held from October 31 to November 2 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The annual fair, organised by Mrs. Ebiere Empere, the chief executive officer of OKADS Seafood, will bring together hundreds of exhibitors and buyers from across Abuja and neighbouring states.
It will also provide a platform for women entrepreneurs to expand their visibility and sales.
Speaking ahead of the event, Empere explained that the choice of the Moshood Abiola Stadium was deliberate, given the fair’s growing popularity and the need for a larger space.
“Exhibitors are coming not just from Abuja but also from neighbouring states, eager to create new markets and networks for their brands.
At least 50 local market women will also enjoy a 100 per cent discount for stands to display their goods,” she said.
The WIB Trade Fair has grown in stature since its last edition at the Old Parade Ground, Garki, where it recorded massive participation and high patronage, leaving many exhibitors “smiling to the banks.”
This year’s edition promises even more attractions, with a shopping extravaganza, a village market, service centres, entertainment and a dedicated kiddies’ zone.
Empere added: “This is expected to be one of the largest trade expos in Abuja in recent times. Last year’s turnout was massive, and this year we are raising the bar. The fair is also strategically organised to create opportunities for smart shoppers to get their items early before the end-of-year price hike sets in.”
The WIB Trade Fair is anticipated to be one of Abuja’s most significant economic events, providing opportunities for businesses and shoppers.
