The acting general manager of the agency, Daniel Salka Audu said the board is determined to increase its internally generated revenue in line with the directive of the FCT minister of the FCT.

He said the board will from next week embark on a revenue drive and warned those who are owing to pay up or be ready to be disconnected.

Audu said the board provides one of the best potable water not only in Nigeria but in the sub region.

He reminded customers that it takes the administration huge sums of money to achieve this.

Audu also called on the customers to desist from giving the staff  money with the claim to helping them pay.

Similarly, he warned staff members from doing the same and has vowed that any staff caught would be dealt with accordingly; this he said would deter staff from engaging in acts of corruption .

The GM therefore advised the customers to make use of its portal or go to the bank to offset their bills as no staff is allowed to collect cash from its customers.

Audu said that he will pursue with vigour the mandate of the agency which has the sole responsibility of providing safe, adequate and affordable water supply in accordance with World Health Organization and Nigerian drinking water quality standards to residents of FCT.
