Alhaji Dantata, aged 94, passed away in the wee hours of Saturday in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Known for his decades-long contribution to commerce and philanthropy, Dantata was one of Nigeria’s most respected industrialists and community leaders.

The delegation, which departed Nigeria late Sunday, touched down in Madinah in the early hours of Monday.

In a statement issued to journalists on Monday in Abuja by the Special Assistant to the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Rabbi Ibrahim, the delegation is led by the Minister of Defence and former Jigawa State governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.

Other members include the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN); Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, and Minister of State for Housing Development, Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.
