The federal government, through the ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, has convened a meeting alongside IT Horizons and industry leaders to discuss a collaborative effort towards establishing an integrated technological framework that will propel Nigeria into the next era of innovation.
This collaborative effort aims to introduce state-of-the-art IT solutions while fostering synergy between government, private enterprises, and society.
Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, in his keynote address at the event, emphasised the critical role of technology in driving economic competitiveness. He urged a prioritised approach to technology applications for effective service delivery, recognizing its transformative impact on societal challenges.
As the National Council on ICT in Ministries, Departments, and Agencies gathered in Abuja, Dr Tijani underscored the symbiotic relationship between the government and the private sector in leveraging technology. He asserted that “any government without technology and without prioritising the applications of technology cannot provide service to its people in an effective way’’. He called on council members to grasp their pivotal roles, highlighting the need for collective efforts within organisations for Nigeria’s development and inclusive growth.
At the forefront of this technological advocacy, IT Horizons Group plays a proactive role. The Technical Sales Manager, IT Horizons Group, Barry Awure, shared insights on Competitive Analysis of edge Computing and Cloud Computing.
“In a landscape evolving at the speed of light, edge computing emerges as a game-changer. It not only enhances efficiency and speed but also provides a strategic advantage in data management and security. It’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible,” asserted Barry.
