Eight Months after suspension of Abuja-Kaduna passengeer train service, following terrorist attract on March 28, this year, which left 11 people dead and several others injured and abducted, the federal government through federal ministry of Transportation has announced resumption of the service tomorrow with new conditions set for intending passengers.
According to a statement issued by management of the corporation and made available to LEADERSHIP, all intending passengers must provide National identification cards before purchasing their tickets.
The management also stated categorically that only passengers with valid tickets will be allowed access into the departure and arrival halls of the railway stations along the the Abuja-Kaduna railway corridor.
“Purchase of tickets by proxy is only limited to minors and specified number of adults,” the management said.
It was also disclosed that online and mobile app ticket purchases will be available today prior to the resumption of service tomorrow.
The passenger train service will commence with return services from Abuja to Kaduna by 9.45 a.m and Kubwa (Abuja) to Rigassa (Kaduna) 10.06 a.m and Idu -Abuja 3.30 p.m and Kubwa-Abuja, at 3.50 p.m in the evening.
