The minister of youth and sports development, Mr Sunday Dare, gave the charge in a message to Nigerian youth in commemoration of the 2022 International Youth Day with the theme, “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages”.

According to him, the youths are the most active component in the demography of a nation. He urged them to use their vantage position positively to be self-reliant and employable.

The minister who reiterated the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration’s commitment to the continuous provision of an enabling environment for the development of youths, urged them to key into the opportunities so as to compete favourably on the global stage.
“Let us also take advantage of the opportunities provided for us by government to get training and empowerment that will prepare us to compete favourably on the global stage and lead us to creating the Nigeria of our dreams,” Dare said.
